Strawberry Danish French toast

As a child, going to donut shops was my favorite thing. I knew what I wanted each time: maple long-johns with chocolate milk, with the option of anything pink or chocolate glazed. Every time, gold.

My palate has evolved over the years. I prefer the kinds without holes and frosting and avoid anything with the words ‘long’ or ‘john.’ These are just plain stupid.

No, just kidding. Since I was a child, my donut tastes haven’t really changed. They’ve probably even gotten worse. As we get older, it is good to ‘upgrade and try something new.’ If that means I add a strawberry Danish to my rotation once in a while, then that’s fine with me. After all, not all changes are bad. Even though bangs can be a good idea, they are not always a good one – especially if you have greasy hair. Too much oil.

French toast is the best thing in life. Forget about bangs and don’t worry about who should or shouldn’t wear them. This breakfast staple is one of my favorites. I like it plain, with butter and syrup. These days, however, I am upgrading to more sophisticated flavors, such as strawberry Danish.

After discovering the pairing of strawberry and goat cheese, I wanted to use it in as many dishes as possible. The first thing that came to mind was French toast. What was the outcome? French toast that is exactly like a strawberry cream cheese Danish. This is the kind of breakfast that I would be willing to try.
